At St Chrysostom's we are committed to helping others, irrespective of their background or faith.
Our Ministry Team vists in the parish - schools, institutions and homes, and offer encouragement, help and support. We invite people to volunteer to help out at church or in the community. This means YOU!
We reach out to help in whatever ways we can, and we invite all people, whether of our faith, or not, to assist this work.
We have a special concern for the underprivileged and needy of our parish. We help not only in our parish but encourage care for the needy of our community and world.
This work is a joy and a privilege for us and we discover we grow and are enriched by serving others.
Here are some ways we have tried to help others recently:
Collecting food for the needy of the area
Gathering socks and blankets for the homeless of our city at Christmas
Collecting used stamps, and foreign coins for Oxfam
Putting up a community noticeboard outside church
Holding a bake sale after Mass for MacMillan Nursing
